Reaching milestones for improved power

Reaching milestones for improved power

With ground-breaking infrastructure, Ezone Energy is on a mission to maximize energy efficiency. And with numbers now coming in from key pilot projects, we see results clearly showing that we are on the right path.

This past winter and spring the Ezone Energy logo has been clearly visible in the center of Stavanger – the oil and gas capital of Norway. On a container placed in a prominent spot in the port of the city. With a new and revolutionary transformer installed inside, providing improved charging power to Ryger Elektra– one of the world’s first and fastest battery-only express ferries. For this project we have worked closely with Rødne Fjord Cruise, a true leader in environmentally friendly boat transport. A perfect match for Ezone Energy, committed to delivering a greener and more energy efficient future to all.

Our partners at Nøste Energi have provided energy management services, done power quality surveys and delivered test results verified by DNV. With Ezone technology at the core. It has been extremely encouraging. With results showing efficiency gains significantly above that of conventional technology. Once again: A milestone!

The maritime sector has been a priority for Ezone Energy when it comes to technology testing in these still early phases. Electrical power systems in ships are isolated systems. Electromagnetic disturbances observed in such isolated power systems onboard vessels are more serious than those seen in larger connected systems onshore. Poor power quality not only affects the performance of the ships’ electrical installations, it also affects the efficient use of energy, the security of navigation and the safety of life at sea. Still surveys confirm the presence of some extent of power quality issues onboard most vessels.

Our vision is no more wasted energy. With new technology and solutions, we are now setting an example, indeed showing the way how to better preserve our energy. Control of power quality in system networks clearly has positive economic impacts. In the maritime sector, for example, it will reduce the exploitation costs. It will reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Sustainable value creation. In the best interest of all.
That is why Ezone Energy is now in dialogue with industry leaders both in Norway and worldwide. In our modern world we are surrounded by transformers and cables, and as I write this, we are continuously increasing our presence indifferent markets and sectors.

At the same time a top priority for me as CEO is to provide potential customers and stakeholders with facts and reliable insights – so that critical decisions can be made with confidence. That is why we also work and report in cooperation with leading advisors and bodies such as DNV and NTNU.

I am now in the middle of my first full year as CEO of Ezone Energy, and I want to take this opportunity to once again thank the shareholders for the possibility to take Ezone Energy to the next level. A start-up is hard work for everybody involved, but doing something this meaningful is truly inspirational. We shall strive to strengthen and safeguard the trinity of business intent, customer connection and stakeholder experience. The secret to not only growth, but also achieve greatness. We shall make sure energy earns, and not just simply burns.

Best wishes for a happy and peaceful summer!
